Getting Started Do I use the app or the website? You can set up a profile on both, although to search for Business' and Events, save details to your in app address book and in app calendar you will need to use the app. For Business' and Groups setting up profile and adding events this needs to be set up through our website. We aim, as our site grows to be accessible on both going forward.
How do I navigate my way around? Once you have set up a user profile you can do the following;
  • Use the Events page to search for events in the location around the country of your choice, then click Follow Event to add to your calendar, clicking Follow All Events will save this, all current and all future events by the organiser.
  • Use the Suppliers page to search for Venues, Stallholders, Caterers, Transport, Entertainers, Specialists or Event Organisers. Click on Address Book to add this to your in app contacts.

How much does Plan My Event App cost? It's free to set up a user profile on the app, here you can search for and save Business', Groups and Events in your in app Address Book and Calendar. For business' and groups the cost is £30.00 (£25.00 + VAT) per year for both a business listing and unlimited events (subject to terms and conditions).

How to I set up a business or event?
You will need to set up a business profile first, then you can add unlimited events (in line with the terms and conditions). To get started head to the website, login or register and click on ADD BUSINESS, this will allow you to set up your business profile and pay for the years subscription. Once your business is set up you can add events and they will be linked to your business profile.

How will my business be listed? When setting up the
account you can choose three listing categories, we understand many business' offer a variety of services and have given more than one option to maximise your search potential, pleases do check through all the options. Can I edit my business profile? Yes, you can click edit as many times as you would like to update details, photographs and free text.

What shall I put in the free text on my profile?
You have a fair amount of text to give people an overview of your business with opening times, food and drink options, activities etc, although we would suggest you input your address for venues as your address is not visible to customers and you can include a phone number if you would like customers to call you.

How do I set up events?
To add events you need to have a business profile for this to be linked to, once the business is set up click on the link ADD EVENTS where this will allow you to enter the information and list your event immediately.

How do people follow me?
Once your business profile is set up, then customers searching are able to save your business / group to their address book, when they review your profile all your events are listed below. If a user finds an event you're organising they can add this event to their calendar by following it or click on follow all events which will add all current and future events you create to their calendar.
